Justice for Robert Hutchison Our friend Robert Hutchison has not been seen since January 2024. We are raising money through this Go Fund Me page to fund a campaign to seek information about Rob’s disappearance, including a possible reward for information about what may have happened to him. Rob is a proud Canadian Forces veteran of the 2nd Battalion, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry (2PPCLI), a beloved son and brother, a devoted uncle to his nieces and nephew, a friend to many, and so much more. Rob’s family last heard from him on the evening of January 30, 2024. Winnipeg Police investigators publicly revealed at a press conference in July 2024 that they believe the last time Rob was seen or heard from by anyone, was the next night, January 31, 2024, somewhere near Manitoba Avenue and Artillery Street in Winnipeg. Police also announced at that same press conference that they have reason to believe Rob may have been the victim of foul play. But the unfortunate reality is that we don’t know for sure. It’s been an agonizing 2 ½ years without answers. No one is talking. Police have so far not been able to gather enough evidence to charge anyone, or even to be able to say what happened to Rob or where he might be. We want to know. His parents, his friends, his family, all deserve to know. And if someone is responsible, they don’t deserve to get away with it. We are raising funds in an attempt to help break the silence, to encourage someone – anyone – to come forward with information that could help explain what happened, and identify whoever may have been responsible. About $5,000 of funding is needed for a billboard campaign that we are ready to launch, in an effort to encourage people to come forward with information. Part of the same campaign would also involve putting up a reward, which Crime Stoppers has agreed to administer for us, for information leading to a conviction in the case. We are hoping to be able to offer up to $10,000 for a reward, which we are hoping to raise through this page. Any funds beyond our costs will be donated to social services charities that support veterans, for example Homes for Heroes, or Wounded Warriors Canada. Please help us find closure, and provide justice for Rob. Thank you. Any information is considered valuable. If you have any information, please contact the Winnipeg Police Missing Persons Unit at [phone redacted]. Please do not leave any information on this page.
