Hey! I'm Damien As for why I'm creating this LFEBridge is because we want to have as many doors open to help me and my partner, Xavier fund moving me cross country to the wonderful province of Alberta, Canada. The reason why this move is so fundamentally important and vital for me beyond just being able to move in and live with my partner, has to do with my mental health struggles as I am someone who deals with depression, anxiety, and BPD requiring medication and therapy. A situation not ideal for an extremely rural living situation that I find myself in now in Ontario, I've taken steps several times to receive care and even prescriptions but have had appointments canceled, pushed back, or even outright skipped out on by the doctor/therapists that i have gotten over the last 2 - 3 years living where I am today, I am certain living in a more urban region will give me access to the mental care that I've been so desperately needing for the last 2-3 years. Hey, I'm Xavier! While I don't have as much new to add about why we want this move to happen as Damien has talked about, it is equally important to me. During our two month trial run, we concluded that moving in was the best next step for our relationship, and for our emotional and mental health, as we both kinda realized how important and intrinsic we are to each other in person and have found ways to better each other in our day to day lives. Damien helps me be more social and it's so much more exciting trying to new things when you're with someone you love and trust. They help manage my ADHD and without them I have little reason to go out and struggle with regular routine. It's why we have a goal of $5,500 to help with gas, hotels, truck rental, food, and other funds that we might need on the road. This LFEBridge is meant to be one part of that goal, and gives family, friends, or anyone else the chance to help us out if they are able to. If you choose to help out with a donation we thank you genuinely from the bottom of both our hearts!
