Hi, my name is Michael. Let me start by saying that this is a bit of a last resort but after going through all the traditional channels of the home buying process and checking off the boxes of credit, income(through my disability), and jumping through all the hoops the underwriters had us go through, it’s still looking like they are going to deny my family and I the American dream of home ownership due to a technicality. My beautiful wife and best friend was previously married to one of the worst possible people you could imagine for almost 20 years and abusive in every way, including financially. Due to this there are some previously unknown debts that came to light that are the only things stopping us from obtaining this home loan. The house is $150k but we only need $30k to get that financial freedom from my wife’s abusive ex and give my family the home they deserve. All I’ve ever wanted to do is provide for my family which is much harder now that I’m 100% disabled due to injuries sustained in Iraq but I am still here and doing the best I can so it seems like this would be a ridiculous thing to stop us when we’ve worked so hard to get this far. Please help us.
