On the 7th April 2024, myself and my mum will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise money for KIDS which is a charity who helps disabled children and to support their families. A year ago, our princess Myla was diagnosed with a rare condition that affects the flow between the signals in her brain to her muscles. This condition affects her physical mobility and delays her reaching milestones. This news has caused heartbreak for our family, but the care we have received from Myla’s NHS support workers, the equipment we’ve received to help her daily mobility and lastly the physiotherapy groups we attend has been absolutely outstanding and without them I honestly don’t know what we would’ve done. Without their support Myla would not of made the progress she has already achieved. Our beautiful Myla Moo, your courage, determination and strength is beyond anything I’ve ever seen. Your cheeky smile lights up every room you go in to, stealing everyone’s hearts. We don’t know what the future holds but what we do know is you will fight everyday to get to where you need to be and I could not be more proud of you.If I have even a percentage of strength and determination from you to get us through these 13.5 miles (as much as you will be laughing at me) then I will be just fine. This journey for myself, Taylor and our families has not been easy but charities such as KIDS gives us and other families the support we need to overcome many hurdles as well as supporting Myla and other children who need that little more help. Any donations will be extremely appreciated as they will help disabled children attend physiotherapy sessions, receive equipment and support their families through these such tough times.Thank you
