NAMI Lane County is a grassroots mental health organization that supports individuals living with a mental health condition and family and friends that have loved ones living with mental health conditions. We provide support groups, and education courses, and have a resource center that is open to the public Monday-Thursday from 10 am to 3 pm. The resource center has many programs including: Food pantry Clothing room Computer and Internet access Harm reduction supplies Hygiene supplies Resource referrals In-person support And a place to just be! These programs are incredibly important to our participants and we are lucky to have 4 incredible staff leading all of these programs. Unfortunately, incidents occur, and setbacks happen, and that is why we are asking for your help from our community of supporters. Over the past few weeks, we had 2 break-ins at our building and endured some damage and need to make our building more secure. We are hoping to raise $2,500 to help us recover these unexpected costs. We will need to replace the lock on an outside door, replace a paper towel dispenser, replace a toilet seat, and purchase a new filing cabinet, and we hope to recover the unexpected costs of staff taking off 2 full days of work too. We are a small grassroots organization and have 4 staff members that work tirelessly to support participants in our programs and the surrounding Lane County community. If you can give to NAMI Lane County and support these unexpected costs, we would greatly appreciate it. As a Mental Health organization incidents like this impact our staff and to receive support from our community would mean a lot. We appreciate the kind words of support and your donations. Thank you from NAMI Lane County!
