Hello Everyone, My name is Wendy Krygier and I am the Teaching Director of Woodstock Nursery School in Woodstock, Vermont. On July 10th, the Ottauquechee River breached its banks and flooded Woodstock Nursery School. Our school was filled with 3 feet of water and we lost 90 percent of our belongings. We are asking our community for assistance in raising $30,000 to cover the cost of replacing everything from furniture, rugs and rest mats, to toys, art supplies, teacher tools and so much more. These items are necessary so that we can reopen our doors to our valued families in time for the school year. Woodstock Nursery School is a small nonprofit organization that has served our community since 1951. At WNS, we care for the whole child. We foster independent thinking and problem-solving, as well as creativity, exploration and discovery. Our days are filled with mindfulness, yoga, music, movement, hiking and outdoor play and exploration. Students routinely spend time in our local community by visiting the library, bookstore, local businesses and natural areas. Our program is located in a one-room schoolhouse in Woodstock’s “Little Theater” and employs three dedicated early educators. We have a rich history of supporting our families over the last 72 years and we are asking for your help now so we can get back on our feet and continue to do so. We are asking you to contribute any amount—$20, $50, $100, or more—to help get Woodstock Nursery School up and running again. Please help us bring back the safe, warm, and welcoming environment our families have relied on for so many years. All funds will go directly to Woodstock Nursery School and will be used to purchase replacement materials for the school. From our hearts to yours- thank you!! With Love, Miss Wendy & Woodstock Nursery School
