This pile of rubble was their home. And now it is gone. A year ago, Michael, a Navy Veteran, used almost all of his inheritance from his late father to purchase a place he and his "Honey" could call their own. It was to be a safe and comfortable home as they both coped with numerous health issues. Then, on Wednesday, July 19, 2024, Michael and Deborah’s home was completely destroyed by an EF-3 tornado. Huddled in the bathroom with their dog, it is a miracle they survived as the house was blown off its foundation. But, they lost everything and now face the prospect of starting over from scratch.
