On 4th of July there was an incident with a mortar firework that blew up in Ritchie’s hands. He was brought to Clear Lake hospital and transferred to Memorial Hermann TMC for a specialist to operate on his hands. He’s had one surgery so far and will have to have another one in about 6-8 weeks to get a plate removed from his wrist. He will have to go to outpatient doctors visits and hand therapy for several weeks in order to gain function in his tendons. As many of you know he’s a welder and without being able to use his hands he is not able to work. He does not have any health insurance at this time and you can imagine with a 4 day stay in the hospital how much the bill is going to be. He will not be able to go to work for months. We’re going to be solely on my income and we have a 6 month old son. Any help is greatly appreciated and will go towards his medical bills, recovery and living expenses for our family.
