Emergency Appeal: Help save a life by providing safe and clean water to 10 communities in Northern Uganda and the South of South-Sudan Campaign objective There is a big challenge in access to safe water, therefore we aim to provide easy access to safe and clean water for domestic use to 20 communities Why donate? In these communities, people live with several challenges among which is the hardship in accessing safe and clean water for use. Therefore this water well project will help benefit the people by providing them with safe water thus avoiding several challenges like diseases that are a result of using unsafe water. The principle of our faith is to help others in case there is a need. In the Quran, Allah (almighty) says, “Help one another in the acts of piety and righteousness and not in acts of sinfulness and transgression and be aware of Allah verily, Allah is severe in punishment” Quran 5:2 Children Move a long distance to fetch unsafe water. The water they fetch is in most cases occupied by frogs, snakes and other reptiles putting their lives in danger. This is a child who went to fetch water at 16:00 hours and she is returning home at 18:30 hours because the journey she takes to fetch water is approximately 2 hrs journey to and from the swamp which has unsafe water. This puts a girl child at risk and danger. Therefore we request you to contribute with the little you have to help save this community Help those mothers who move distances to look for water above all which is not clean and safe. The prophet (P.B.U.H) said , "whoever relieves a believers' distrace in the aspects of this world, Allah will rescue him from the difficulty among the difficulties of the hereafter, whoever relieves the situation one in situation of Hardship , Allah will releive his lot in both this world and in the hereafter and whoever conceals the faults of the muslim, Allah will conceal his faults in this life and hereafter" The Importance of Safe Water. Water plays an important role on both human and spiritual life of a Muslim. On human life, water is regarded to be life implying that without water life is at risk. Drinking unsafe water puts a human being at risk of contracting diseases namely, Malaria, Dysentery, Typhoid, and Cholera which is at a high spread in South Sudan and parts of Northern Uganda. Therefore installing and or drilling safe well as pure water, will help to minimize such challenges as a result of unsafe water The importance of water to a Muslim is for making ablution “An act of using water to purify yourself’. Known as ‘Wudhu’, is one of a condition before performing Swalah. ‘Water is Life’ This context explains it all as without water, life is hard for a human being that’s why we are appealing to provide safe and clean water.
