'S’ is a Black trans mother of a two year old. She has an urgent need to find housing in London and needs financial support with housing costs, maintenance and childcare. 'S' is disabled, neurodivergent and lives with c-PTSD. She is a migrant, has experienced multiple instances of displacement and has been subjected to police violence. In the last two years, she has been the main childcare provider and she has no stable income or access to savings. 'S' needs to make a new home for herself in London, she needs support with setting herself up to be able to provide stability for her child, who she will have shared childcare responsibilities toward. She is in this process of re-homing herself and wants to create a nurturing space which offers structure and the possibilities of a loving home. The support from this fundraiser will make that possible. Estimated costs for securing a new home: House deposit: £900 3 months rent: £2400 3 months bills: £600 Moving Van: £100 Childcare costs in the new home: baby bed, cabinet, clothes, baby milk (3 months supply), baby chair, sling, food , lamp, shoes, books: £1500 'S' is an artist and she in the process of developing her practice, which she needs as a source of income to create financial stability for herself and her child. She needs to cover therapy costs (6 months cover - £420) and a second hand laptop (£1000), which will enable her to have focused time and mobility in doing her work. The funds raised will: Help with transitioning and setting up the change into a new home for her child; Support 'S’s mental health; Support 'S' to set a foundation for her working practice and making a basic income from her creative work.
