Hi My name is Daisy I am Cecilia Wainaina’s daughter. I want to share her story with you. She has been a true warrior and a fighter against cancer for over 10 years. Despite the challenges, she has shown remarkable strength and resilience. However, she is now facing her most difficult battle yet, and I come to you today with hope in my heart, asking for your support. A brief history: Mom was first diagnosed with cancer in June 2014 and In August 2014 she went to India seeking treatment. She stayed there till May 2015 when the cancer went to remission. Unfortunately, in December 2017, during a regular check-up while in India the tests showed that the cancer returned. Mom has been undergoing chemotherapy and radiation therapy ever since. At present: The chemotherapies and radiation therapies have taken a toll on her health and caused a significant financial burden for her and our family. Earlier this year, her condition worsened, and she required immediate medical attention, amounting to KES 800,000 (9,500 AUD). The past month has been particularly challenging for mom, as a week after her last radiation treatment she got an infection and was admitted to hospital in a critical condition. She is currently in critical but stable condition at MP Shah Hospital's High Dependency Unit. The hospital bill has reached a staggering 5 million KES and continues to rise. My mom's unwavering spirit has carried her through these difficult years, but she now needs our collective support. This disease has not only affected her physically but has also placed an emotional and financial burden on our family. Your contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant impact on my mom's care. Every dollar brings us closer to providing my mother with the urgent treatment she needs. I extend my deepest gratitude for your time, attention, and most importantly, your compassion. By supporting Mom, you become an integral part of her team. Your love and generosity will make a difference in her life, and for that, I am eternally grateful. Warmest regards, Daisy
