August 14, 2024: Today, Lyle & I are celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary on the 14th floor of the Oregon Health Sciences University Hospital. Nice View Huh!?! The skilled staff at OHSU performed an additional procedure to help remove more bile from Lyle's liver. We feel so happy and fortunate to have the excellent level of care available here at OHSU. Lyle's team of caregivers just keeps giving and giving. Thank you again to everyone for their support, prayers, and well wishes. We will let everyone know more when we do. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ GOOD NEWS: We are happy to share with everyone that Lyle is healing peacefully at home now. Providence let him go home yesterday, and I don't know who is happier...me, Lyle or the dogs (mainly Sophie). She barely leaves his side, except for treats and necessary trips outside. So special. BETTER NEWS: Lyle is eligible for a liver transplant and the liver transplant Oregon Health Science University Hospital connected with Lyle Thursday and again on Saturday. He will continue his healing journey under OHSU's support!! AND...I can't begin to thank everyone for their support, kindness and generosity. I was ever grateful for everyone's kind support after paying $375 for Lyle's medication before leaving the hospital. July 30, 2024: My husband Lyle has been sick recently and went to the hospital on July 18th with signs of a liver condition. As you can see from the photo, he is the same color as our house. He is fighting a rare condition and may need a liver transplant. We are hoping that all of our wonderful friends and family can help us during this trying time.
