Praise God! Hello brothers and sisters! My name is Nzee Birungi Dennis, the founder of Rose House Foundation. I extend my greetings to you, and I pray the Lord's blessings upon you and your families. Rose House Foundation cares for poor, homeless, orphaned children and vulnerable, elderly people in our community here in war-torn Uganda. We try our best to provide our 29+ children with basic needs like: food, education, shelter, medication, clothes; as well as teach them the Word of God. Today my request to you is to help us raise funds to construct a borehole (water well) so our many children can access safe, fresh, clean water for both drinking and domestic use. Currently we are facing a big challenge of getting safe, clean water to our orphanage facility. The well where we get our water is very dirty and polluted, because numberous animals also come to drink at the well. As a result of this, our children contact deadly diseases like diarrhoea, typhoid, malaria, salmonellosis, Hepatitis A, cryptosporidiosis, cholera and dysentery. We boil the water we drink, but the children still get sick from coming in contact with the contaminated water. Secondly, the well is 1½ km (1 mile) from the orphanage, which makes our children tired from making the long journey to and from the well, sometimes several times a day. There is also the danger of our young children falling into the well when fetching water. We will be very greatful for your help. We need to raise $7,000 to construct our own borehole water well. We also need construct modernized toilets and bathrooms, which together will cost $3,500. Lastly, some of our children have not been attending school due to failure of fully paying their school fees ($700) in time. (Please note we also have included $200 to help offset the transaction fees and credit card fees the LFEBridge organization charges when donations are made.) Our total need amount is: $11,400. Thank you so much for your generosity in giving to our children! God bless you! Note: Written by Nzee, edited by Doug Naylor
