This is Daryl. I'm continuing to fundraise for my sister who is facing a crisis in health care costs, and health loss, that requires all the help we can get moving forward. I've spoken to many of you who will see this over the years about how much I love and admire my sister's courage and fight in the struggle to live with her own disease; something that tests a person's dignity as much as their pain threshold. Neither of which, frankly, I believe I could endure. And she's had to do it in the face of a health care system -- and the people in it -- which too often fails to listen to her, and, in fact, does her harm. Her bout with covid hospitalized her last fall and has undoubtedly lowered her medical baseline. She's experienced the worst conditions of her Sarcoidosis ever. Her companion, roommate and caretaker, Cliff, was hospitalized as well last month after collapsing at work. He's suffering AFIB. Sustained a massive concussion....and very nasty wounds to his head and face. They're without his income and have been for over a month now. Those medical bills in the 10s of thousands add to what my sister already faces. The process of getting medical clearance to go back to work continues to unveil more health challenges that require more time and money with doctors and tests. Right now, the sick irony is that the stress of all of this exacerbates tremendously both of their medical conditions. It's incredibly serious. What I'm asking for is a lifeline. Thank you so very much to everyone who has contributed. It means more than you can know. We remain in an emergency. Achieving this dollar goal is necessary to cover these medical bills and lost wages. Anything you can do, from a minimum to a stretch gift is appreciated more than I could express.
