Please consider donating to support Jack Murphy and his family during an extremely difficult time. Jack is an incoming senior at Trumansburg High School. On Saturday afternoon, July 1, Jack was heading home to change for his work shift and was involved in a serious car accident. He was extracated from the car and brought by ambulance to Sayre PA to the trauma hospital. He is in the ICU with several cranial and facial fractures, a concussion with brain bruising and brain bleeds, a broken collarbone, 4 broken ribs and a punctured lung. Jack is currently on a ventilator. He is not responding to commands, but they are going to taper his medications down to see if he can breathe on his own. Once he’s able to breathe, and stable, he will need a titanium plate to mend his broken jaw. That surgery won’t happen for several days. This happened just weeks after the death of Jack’s sister, Taylor. The family has already been through unimaginable grief with Taylor’s death, and now face a an uncertain road of rehabilitation for Jack. It will become more clear in the next week or two what care Jack will need, and we will update this page as we know more. Thank you so much for considering a donation for this wonderful kid and his family. Also, please share this LFEBridge with family and friends.
