Family and friends, I am Bianka. I am writing this today with a heavy heart, seeking your compassion, support and generosity in this incredibly difficult time. Last week, on the 4th of July, our best friend, brother and amazing father Joe Scarola suffered a tragic setback. We were getting in the car, excited to see fireworks with the kids when Joe fainted and hit his head. He had a seizure and stoped breathing in front of his daughter. We thought we lost him and it’s by the grace of God he is here. The ambulance didn’t take him to the hospital and if it wasn’t for his daughters mother insisting he went, who knows if he would be here today. He was admitted immediately due to a fractured skull and brain bleed. As you can imagine, Joes life has been turned upside down by this horrific incident. He cannot work to support his daughter and is facing a long recovery. The emotional and physical toll is immense and the road to recovery is uncertain and challenging. I am writing this today with nothing but love for Joe in my heart. If you know Joe, you know he would give his shirt off his back to anyone in need. He has a heart of gold and is having a hard time asking for help. He would do anything for the people he loves. His love radiates through everything he does. He is an amazing father, brother, son and friend. There aren’t many people in this world with a heart as big as his. I am looking to our friends, family and community with the hope of raising costs to cover rent, car payment, insurance, daily necessities and the building medical bills.
