Our colleague and friend, Nancy Dutil was severely impacted by the flooding from the storm on July 9-11th, 2024. The rising waters rushed into cities and towns, causing many to evacuate, including Nancy and her family. The raging water broke her basement window causing water to pour in and flood her basement. When Nancy was able to return to her home Tuesday afternoon, the devastation was unbelievable. Her front steps to her house were thrown about, inches of mud and silt covered the ground, and Nancy's basement was filled with over 7 feet of water. As the days of recovery continue, the list of damages grow along with the risk of mold developing. Many of the tools stored in the basement were damaged in addition to her washer, dryer, and furnace. Nancy, like many in Vermont, have a long road ahead to make their home safe again. Our local team is hoping to raise funds for Nancy and her family to defray the costs of clean-up, repairs, and replacement of appliances. Any support you can provide to assist Nancy and her family is greatly appreciated. Together we can help make it a little easier for Nancy. Thank you!
