Haji is a treasured member of the Blitz family. On the 6th July, during an away game in London, Haji sustained an injury that resulted in a fractured spine. Although we are so incredibly grateful that he wasn’t rendered paralysed, this incident has been deeply troubling for both our team and the wider Britball community. Haji is only 20 years old and, although he was in just the second year of his football career, Haji quickly became among the brightest sparks on our team. Innately talented, and ferociously driven, he has been a force and a motivator on our team from day one. The severity of his injury is as such that he has been forced to retire from sport. It is so incredibly sad that his dreams to go pro have been cut short in such a shocking and frightening way. What’s more, his long road to recovery has left him unable to work for the foreseeable future and without financial support. Please help us support our brother in his time of need. In these difficult times, anything at all you can spare will be greatly appreciated and go towards helping support Haji’s living costs as well as his road to recovery. Haji, we love you and support you all the way in your journey. Here’s to a speedy and successful recovery.
