Our names are Ali and Brent Windrow, and we're reaching out on behalf of two remarkable young men that we've had the privilege of knowing since their elementary school days. Joseph and Joziah, now 16 and 15 years old, respectively, have been dealt a challenging hand in life. Almost a year ago now, they lost their home and most of their possessions. They have been navigating the harsh realities of life without a stable home ever since. We met these bright boys when I, Ali, served as the school psychologist at their elementary school, and my husband, Brent, had the joy of coaching their basketball team. Go Wildcats! Over the years, we have maintained our connection, witnessing their strength in the face of adversity. Their resilience has inspired us to rally behind them now when they need support the most. Joseph, the older of the two, currently lives with a friend, working full-time to pay for his living expenses. The weight of adulthood has been thrust upon him prematurely, forcing him to worry about rent, groceries, and daily essentials when he should be focusing on his studies and dreaming about his future. Joziah and their mother currently reside in an extended-stay motel. The instability of their housing situation has forced both boys to attend school online, removed from the camaraderie of their classmates and the familiar environment of their home-zoned school. Their mother is working hard to support them but, despite her efforts, struggles to meet all of their needs. To add to their challenges, she recently broke free from a dangerous domestic situation and still has concerns for her safety. Without a car and the security of reliable transportation, their daily lives are further complicated. Both the oldest brother and their mother currently rely on friends, public transportation, or ride-sharing services like Lyft to get to and from work. These options are not only inconsistent, but they also add an extra financial burden, eating into their already tight budget. Through this LFEBridge campaign, we aim to alleviate their struggles and provide them with the stability that every teenager deserves. The funds raised will be used to: 1. Contribute towards securing a stable and safe living environment for the family. 2. Provide essential supplies like food, clothes, and hygiene products. 3. Help with transportation costs, making their commute safer and more reliable. 4. Support their education, including school supplies, or online learning resources, as needed. 5. Set up an emergency fund to cover unexpected expenses. Your contribution, no matter how small, will bring much-needed relief to Joseph, Joziah, and their mother, allowing them to focus on rebuilding their lives and planning their futures. Please consider donating to help these boys secure a safe, stable environment where they can continue their education and realize their full potential. We understand that not everyone may be able to contribute financially, and that's okay. Please consider sharing this campaign with your network. The power of community is immeasurable, and your support, in any form, will make a difference. Thank you for your time, compassion, and generosity. Ali & Brent Windrow
