Hello. My name is Kelsey Rule. I created this LFEBridge for my brother David Rule and my future SIL Amanda Koskella. My hope is to help relieve some financial burden from them as they navigate a very scary and uncertain chapter of their lives. On 7/17 Amanda arrived for what was supposed to be a routine anatomy scan at 23 weeks pregnant. Instead, she was rushed to a women’s specialty hospital and admitted to a high risk floor due to a short and unmeasurable cervix. Doctors said the ideal situation would be for her to remain in bedrest in the hospital for 11 more weeks until she was at least 34 weeks pregnant. However, they also believed she wouldn’t make it another 11 weeks and estimated that the baby would arrive within 10-20 days. Everyone was shocked and unprepared when Amanda’s water broke and she was rushed into an emergency C-section just a few days later. Bailey Reneé Rule made her miraculous entrance into this world 7/21/2024 at 3:30am weighing only 1 lb 9 oz. She is stable at this time in the NICU, where they expect her to remain until November. The community has shown my brother and Amanda so much love and support already. Between donations, prayers, kind words, and offering to drop off baby items, we’re all blown away by your generosity and I know David and Amanda are just beside themselves with gratitude. I would love for my brother to take some much needed time off work to be with his family during this time without worrying about bills piling up. Amanda and David live 42 minutes from the hospital Bailey will be staying at. With one income, one car, and two little ones at home for the summer that are not permitted into the hospital, it won’t be easy for Amanda and David to get up to see Bailey without help. Of course our family will be there to help as much as possible, but having the means to secure backup/emergency childcare so they can visit Bailey regularly is very important. Again, I know everyone is struggling these days so if you can’t donate please continue to pray and share. If you feel more comfortable, Amanda’s venmo is @amanda-koskella Also, if you have any baby girl clothes, diapers, etc that you are wanting to part with, please reach out to me and I will gladly come take them off your hands. Thank you for the love and support you have shown for my family. We appreciate you all so much. There is a long long road ahead for them, but little Bailey is definitely a fighter and has already exceeded all of our expectations
