For over a decade, WaveOne Open Water has provided free coaching, training, racing opportunities, and support to Special Olympians in the DMV open water community. Your generous financial support will contribute to essential resources such as licensing fees, multiple power boats, multiple kayaks, certified safety personnel, navigation assistance, medical support, and day-of nutrition for these athletes. Your support will not only be helping them achieve their goals but also make a significant impact on their lives. Special Olympians are the heart and soul of the open water swimming community at National Harbor and have competed in the Special Olympics World Games, the Special Olympics International, and numerous competitions throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and on the Potomac.
