On behalf of Lauren and Parker, a few of their best friends have put together a Go Fund Me account for the sudden loss of their precious dog, Maverick. If you know Lauren and Parker you know their love for animals is unmatched. They have owned and cared for a total of 6 dogs together, not to mention the many more they have fostered. Their dog Maverick was the first dog they brought home and raised together. He was gentle, sweet, loving, loyal, loved to run with other dogs and was the best companion. Early Saturday morning their world took a sudden turn when Lauren woke up to the sound of another dog in the home crying, barking and calling for help. She woke up to see Maverick's stomach enlarged and he was in bad shape. She rushed him to the emergency vet where they performed emergency surgery to try and save him but when they got inside, it was too late. There was nothing they could do to save him. He sadly and unexpectedly passed away from BLOAT- a very serious and fatal condition. Bloat develops without warning and progresses quickly, it is always an emergency. To say they are devastated is an understatement. They didn't get to have a proper goodbye and they left the emergency room with a heavy vet bill. Lauren and Parker would never ask anyone for money, they are always the ones giving so much to others and now it's time for us to come together and relieve some financial stress for them. Although no amount of money will bring their precious boy back, if we could help cover some of these unexpected costs for them, I know it would mean the world to them.
