Hi, My name is Tania and I'm starting this LFEBridge to help a girl I met a few weeks ago. Her name is Stephanie and she, like myself, is a Hispanic immigrant, and she, like myself, is a mom. Her story moved me deeply, so I'm asking you to help me help her. Stephanie arrived from Colombia a few months ago with an almost 2-year-old. She crossed into the US via Mexico and made it to NJ to some relatives, trying to start a new life for herself and her baby. Sadly, a month after her arrival, her relatives asked her to leave. With no papers and a small baby, it hasn't been easy for her to make it here. She has temporary housing and works long hours to barely pay for daycare for her baby and her expenses. When I met her she mentioned she was sending her baby back to Colombia and bringing him back here as soon as the asylum request was approved. She doesn't know an asylum request can take many, many years to come into place, and I didn't have the heart to tell her that it could be a long time before she could see her son again. If she could have her expenses covered for six months she could have a cushion to be able to find a better job, save, and finally start a more comfortable life with her baby. I just want to help this little baby not be separated from her mother. She needs $2500 a month to pay for rent, daycare, food, diapers, and formula. I'm humbly requesting help, so we can keep this family together. Any help is good help.
