Hi, my name is Kate Reynolds. I am raising money on behalf of Wendy Reynolds, my sister-in-law and her partner, Stefan Beaumont. On the morning of Monday July 10, 2024 unprecedented flash flooding forced them to emergently evacuate their home in Proctorsville, Vermont. The photo shows their street. That white van at the end on the right is theirs. Their home also houses the studio for their filmmaking business, Red Vault Productions. They had time to pack a bag, secure what they could and grab their beloved dog, Gaia. They returned the next day to the devastating impact of a house and business badly damaged. The flood water completed filled the basement, stretching up the steps and covering the first floor with 4-6 inches of standing water. Their entire neighborhood, like so many communities in the region, was slammed in a similar way. If you know anything about Wendy and Stefan, then you know they have also been out tirelessly helping their neighbors recover, too. They are doing their absolute best as they continue to deal with the unrelenting rippling effects of flood damage to their home and studio. There is a long way to go. They are not able to run their business right now for obvious reasons. The hope is that the funds from this can help defray mounting costs to replace damaged equipment, and supplement lost income during this recovery period. Nobody saw this flood coming. They are not ones to ask for help but they need it right now. Any amount is welcome and much appreciated. Your donation will help them to catch their breath, get back on their feet, and get back to the important work of making beautiful films that tell captivating stories of community and nature, and the imperative of heeding this climate crisis to protect life and planet. Thank you so much for helping.
