Hi, My name is Joelle Geppert and I am helping raise operating and building funds for the SoHum Skate Ramp located at the Kimtu access of the Southern Humboldt Community Park just outside of Garberville, California. We are currently going through the permitting process and need to raise up to $2000 immediately to pay the engineers for the package. We then will need to raise $$ to build the ADA compliance projects that are required by Law (stay tuned for details-we have plans but are not sure yet how much $$ we'll need to raise, but we anticipate we'll need $2-3k on top of the material and labor donations we have) We also have insurance costs from last year to repay $3000 and Insurance will be due again this fall and has been averaging ~$4,200. This Ramp is a beautiful asset to our Community that was built with the generous donations of a handful of individuals, and a few local businesses, as well as financial and technical support from The Humboldt Skate Collective and with the generosity of the Community Park to let us build it on their land. Our larger vision is to ultimately build a concrete park with all kinds of sick elements and we need to raise funds to help with that also. But we need the whole local community and the broader Skate community's financial support to keep the ramp accessible and functional NOW. Any little bit helps! Please give what you can and SHARE!
