HELP BRING THE ARTS TO A DESERVING GROUP OF YOUNG PEOPLE AND OUR COMMUNITY! Hello! We are the Shine the Light Project, LLC, and we are a community theatre program in Northwest Indiana. The mission of the Shine the Light Project, LLC is to create a safe, nurturing space for artists of all ages and abilities to show their talents through theatrical performances, camps, and other performance opportunities. Led by dedicated professionals, the Shine the Light Project offers quality theatrical education and preparation within a supportive and welcoming community atmosphere. Here at Shine the Light Project, LLC, we believe in going the extra mile to ensure that every kid gets a chance to show the world what they are capable of and put on a spectacular performance. We’re a brand-new local theatre company currently focusing on producing shows with a cast & crew of young people in Northwest Indiana. Within the next five years, we plan to become or be affiliated with a non-profit organization that will give children the opportunity to participate in theatre completely for free in our community! We want to reach as many people as we can now so that our mission extends as far as possible. Our world needs theatre. It helps make a space for those who may not fit in elsewhere and who need a place to express themselves. When you think about the arts, consider your favorite movies, tv shows, and singers. They started in a space much like this! Our kids need your help to put these productions on, and we cannot wait to show the world their brilliant talents. WE NEED YOUR HELP! Startup costs for a theatre are hefty, and we want to keep things FREE FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS, and we cannot do that without the help of our community. Please consider helping a wonderful, deserving group of students do what they love most in the world by donating to our program so they can shine. All money goes straight to purchasing rights, costumes, props, set pieces, and any other needs that may arise, as well as scholarships for our seniors. Productions will take place at Uptown Social in Michigan City, IN. Stay tuned for the announcement of our premier season!! We specifically need: Approximately $3,000 per show license (a total of $6,000) An additional $4,000 for costumes and props for each show ($2,000 each show) Anything additional is SCHOLARSHIP money & award ceremony costs!
