Hi, My name is Kyle. I am originally from the UK and have been teaching in South Korea for many years. Today my world came crashing down. I was expecting a package from a friend and received a message around the same time to pay a service fee for a failed delivery which occasionally happens. It turns out this was a fake website and they cleared all the money from my account leaving me nothing. I went to the bank and broke down when they told me there was nothing they can do and almost no chance I could get my money back. I am still shaking and break into tears often but try to stay strong. On top of this two bank staff members were laughing which was noticed by not only me but the police that accompanied me to the bank. When I told friends I was just told about how foolish I am. No words of encoragment. I live in Korea alone with no family. This is killing me inside but I'm trying to stay positive and not continue to break down. You can see in the picture attached that after they took everything in my account they tried to take more and more but I was already down to 0. The first two transactions took everything and they still tried. It appears to be an overseas scam from Taipei. I feel lost but I am still going to go to work tomorrow because I know my students need me. When I ran out of class in a panic they were all so worried and I saw one later who just ran and hugged me because she knew something was wrong. I was planning to visit my family this year who I haven't seen in 3 years because of covid and high airfare prices so I was saving for that and now that dream has been reduced to nothing. I want to be able to start rebuilding and hopefully have the chance to visit my family this year. Whatever you can do to help would be greatly appreciated. I never thought I would be writing one of these but I feel like I have no other option other than seeking help. Please help if you can.
