Hi my name is Frank and I'm fundraising for my little brother Josey Peters. Josey has had a challenging year, with a job loss and ongoing health issues limiting his work prospects. With a difficult situation he has channeled his energy and passion for community benefit - with his ongoing beach clean-up "mission". He has appeared in the LA Times for his LA river / Ballona Creek clean-up's after heavy storms due to ineffective netting to catch plastics and other trash from flowing through to the ocean. "Today's catch" post from Josey Peters Facebook page: Far end of marina today, usual stuff, lots of fishing line and the remains of a shopping cart, think ill hit north jetty tomorrow as the tides are low enough His current focus is water line tidal clean up from Venice to Santa Monica and beyond. His personal goal is to clean everyday as long as he capable for his "adopted" miles long stretch of the waterfront catching trash that is missed by city clean-up before it is washed out to the sea. He needs your help now as he was attacked from behind on July 1. He was featured on a NBC news cast which gave him an opportunity to share his mission, but with concussion, broken ribs, collar bone his needs now are to bridge the gap until he is able to work. He was able to get by with the help of his landlord / friend who supported his beach clean mission. in with rent assistance by doing house clean maintenance but it will be some weeks before he returns to the work. Josey needs your help so he can continue his mission.
