My name’s Alyana and I’m fundraising for Sam. She has little hope for me to raise enough for her treatment but hopefully you, along with many others, could change this and even if not enough money is raised, we will use the money towards giving Sam the best life she may have left. I am 16 and two years ago Sam took me in and let me into her home when I was struggling the most. She is a wonderful, courageous, brave woman with a beautiful heart. She helps everyone from family, to friends, strangers, and random, hurt, stray animals. She has two wonderful sons that I know to be my brothers. At the start of this year, she felt excruciating pain and went to the doctors. She had to wait weeks just to get a mere phone call and fought to have a doctor tell her what was wrong with her. Eventually she was told she has uncureable stage 3 ovarian cancer and underwent treatment to hopefully prolong her life. Her tumor marker was 1133. On her second and third round of chemo she had anaphylaxis and was unable to continue so was given a different type of chemo which was not effective. Last week, she was received a letter stating that her cancer was stage 4b; the last stage is 4c. According to the hospital, there had been many other letters saying she was 4b for weeks however she never received any of these letters. I was with her at her last appointment which seemed to be incredibly postive and we were overjoyed. This was false hope and proven wrong. The NHS is so strained and can’t continue her current treatment indefinitely and she may not have long left. Her family is short on money and both her teen sons are working to try help with bills and extra costs incurred by her illness. We desperately want to get her private treatment because the NHS simply does not have enough funding. Sam got a phone call yesterday saying she will not be undergoing surgery anymore and she will only have 3 more sessions of chemotherapy until they will have to try less effective options. Even though the cancer can not be stopped, we desperately want to prolong her life as much as possible and give her the best quality of life. We really need help and any donations, no matter how small would be incredibly appreciated. Please share this link. Thank you. <3
