The League of Ukrainian Canadians, Thunder Bay is in dire need of a new roof for our beloved community hall located at 211 Robertson Street. This historic building, which has proudly stood for over 100 years, serves as the last remaining Ukrainian cultural landmark in our city. For generations, it has been a gathering place for Ukrainians to celebrate our culture, preserve our traditions, and forge connections with one another which has been more important than ever with the influx of Ukrainian newcomers to Thunder Bay. The hall is currently home to the Chaban Ukrainian Dance Group, who plays a pivotal role in nurturing and promoting Ukrainian culture among the younger generations, along with a local children's theatre. Unfortunately, the passage of time has taken a toll on our hall, particularly its aging roof. Leaks have become increasingly prominent, leaving us with no choice but to urgently replace the roof to preserve this historical gem. This is where we humbly turn to you, our cherished supporters and advocates of cultural preservation. The estimated cost of this crucial project is substantial, and without your generous contributions, we simply cannot undertake this vital renovation. Every contribution, no matter the size, is invaluable to us. We invite you to stand with us in this endeavor and help us secure a bright future for Ukrainian culture in Thunder Bay. Share our cause with your family, friends, and social networks to amplify our message and reach as many potential supporters as possible. Let us unite in our shared love for Ukrainian culture and ensure that the Thunder Bay Ukrainian Hall continues to stand tall as a testament to our heritage. Thank you for your consideration, support, and commitment to preserving the Ukrainian cultural legacy in Thunder Bay. With deepest gratitude, League of Ukrainian Canadians, Thunder Bay members.
