My name is Thomas Lesar and on Sunday, July 23rd, my family experienced the unimaginable. A freak accident where the front passenger tire flew off my brother-in-law's truck while driving up to Lake Pleasant, to take my nephew to ride the dirt bike he got for his birthday. As control was lost of the vehicle they drove directly off a 40ft cliff into a large ravine and as you can imagine, they all have several extensive injuries. It was an accident first responders said they should not have lived through. My sisters Tonia and Christina, my nephews Sage and Kai, as well as my Brother-In-Law Kevin, were all inside the vehicle. We feel so blessed and are so grateful they're alive. Unfortunately, these numerous and complex life-saving procedures will be very costly. In addition to the medical costs of ambulance and helicopter rides and multiple surgeries, Tonia, Kevin, and Christina will be out of work for an undetermined amount of time. Out of respect for my family, I will not be sharing explicit details of their injuries but they will require multiple surgeries, therapies, and follow-ups. My family has been through so much already and we are putting this together in hopes that we can lessen at least one of their burdens.
