Hi my name is Holly and I'm fundraising to rebuild Ridge Road in ROCKWOOD ME The Ridge Road was originally built in 1980 as a means for my family to get to our land to build our home. Over the years many more camps and houses have joined us. The road has never been properly maintained as it is not a public road and some take it for granted. On June 30, we lost our road in the torrential downpours that viciously went through Rockwood. There are ruts in some areas over 5 ft deep! We had our local Excavation company make it passable to be able to get into and out of houses and camps. However, we need a complete road re-build and we need lots of help! The road needs ditching, tree removal, new culverts, gravel, etc. IF THE ROAD IS NOT REBUILT, IT WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BE PLOWED THIS WINTER! We have contacted the state, county, FEMA and the National Guard. They are not able to help us as it is not a PUBLIC road! I am asking on behalf of ALL of us. I know we live in uncertain times and most people are struggling to make ends meet. If you can help, please, it would be so greatly appreciated!
