Hi, I am Stella and I have known Ricel Almirola for close to 15 years. He is a very nice, humble guy who works extremely hard. I have seen his family grow, and over the last few years, they have settled down nicely. Last night, the unimaginable happened and the apartment he lives in went up in flames. The fire started in his neighbor's unit, but pretty much the entire building is left unlivable. Luckily, his family is safe and no one is hurt. However, Ricel has yet to find out if any of his belongings can still be saved, but it looks very bleak at this time. Even their vehicle (in picture above) is badly damaged. Having to rebuild everything that his family had worked so hard to achieve will be tough. And even moreso, his family needs to find a new place to stay and get access to basic needs all over again. Many of you know Coach Ricel (and his family) and have hopefully been positively influenced by him in badminton or otherwise. I hope the community can come together in this time of urgent need to help him and his family. Ricel is the sole beneficiary of this fundraiser.
