Hi, my name is Kitty. Me and my husband Colyn developed a curbside pantry. We began in 2024 and have developed it over the years. We had a 6x12 platform with a roof over ot and lights with a table, a cold box lined with insulation we would cool with ice packs and a box with screened doors to protect baked goods and nuts from squirrels. It became more and more popular, and through running the pantry I've met and know the stories of so many in my community that came to depend on it. Last night a car took out everything, including our fence. We worked hard over the years, spending money when we could, salvaging materials when we were able. The cold box was donated, as were the lights. We estimate that, including someone to haul away debris, we could be looking at about $1000. which is what our homeowners insurance deductible is. The car left behind many parts including a bumper with the license plate. The police came and confirmed the car was stolen, so there will be no help coming from the person who did this or the car's owner. Whatever it takes and however long it takes, we will rebuild and continue to serve the community. But we could sure use your help! And if we are lucky enough to not need a much as we recieve, all of it will go into the pantry, making it even better and stocking it with more food. For updates like my Facebook page!
