Hey y'all my name is Gia Saprano, My really close friend, who I've been helping take care of for the past month, Kasey Carroll was shot 9 times in West Seattle on June 29th 2024 at 3:30 am. She had 6 bullets hit her leg which resulted in immediate surgery. Now she has a metal rod and five pins in her upper femur. She is in a wheelchair due to not having any feeling in her lower leg and nerve damage. She has a hard time doing anything by herself really. She then had one bullet hit her lungs, one in the back and one in the arm. She has to attend trauma therapy once a week, physical therapy appointment once a week, and regular doctor appointments in Seattle. She has horrible night sweats and can't sleep more than a few hours at a time. She still has nightmares of the incident and can't help but think how All this is affecting her children which also put mental stress on her. She currently can't work due to her injury and all of her medical trips cost. Her medicine costs. Her medical equipment costs. She really needs prayers and good vibes right now as things keep getting more difficult to navigate. She and her 2 kids were displaced from her home in west Seattle where the shooting took place and lost everything. She has had to leave Seattle and move to a domestic violence shelter with nothing at all. She really needs some support and resources to help get her navigate her way back to a healthy and stable life so she can provide again one day for her and her kids. She recently broke her ankle getting out of bed as well. The shelter doesn't help very much and we have reached out to the city but no help there as well. The funds raised for Kasey will go towards medical supplies, medical bills, transportation to and from medical appointments and anything her two children need, Nathan 10 and Natalia 8. Anythings a blessing and much appreciated. It's a blessing she got shot 9 times and lived to be able to tell her story.
