Hi, my name is Babu Vinayagam and this fundraiser is for Thiju, a 15-year-old nephew of my close family friend Justin Judith, a resident of Northern Virginia. Thiju is the youngest son of Jamila and Thilagaraj, who lives with his parents and with his older brother in Dharapuram, Tirupur, TN India. Thiju has been suffering from serious heart problems for over 3 years. While at the age of writing his 10th grade public exams and chasing his dreams, this young kid recently had to get a heart transplant since there was no other way to save his life. His parents sold all their properties, spent all their savings, and took help from generous friends and family to cover part of the surgery costs. The cardiologist advised Thiju to be under medication and ordered a Biopsy for the next one year. Jamila has been the sole breadwinner of the family and has been battling to provide her sons with good education. She hasn’t been able to go to work while taking care of her bed-ridden youngest son. While already overwhelmed with heart transplant and hospitalization expenses, Thiju's parents are crushed by their financial needs since they could not find a way to cover the upcoming medication cost and the family's survival itself has become a big challenge now. They prayed and decided to raise their hands and ask for help from all possible sources and through fundraising for their dear son Thiju. Thiju is a young man with full of dreams like any other child at 15 years. He wants to recover and see this world with passion and gratitude for supporting him to save his life. He is waiting to go back to school and study to serve his family and to return the favor to all the generous hearts that supported him. His family is now broken and we want him to recover and his family to survive. We need any help we can get to cover the medical expenses and to support the family's day-to-day survival. Most importantly, we want him to recover and lead a healthy life; we truly believe that this fundraising will get him the support needed to get his medication and recovery and also will bring so much peace to his parents as they have been heartbroken and want to see their son leading a normal life as any other teen. This fundraiser is being done by Padmalaya inc., a non-profit to collect the funds in the US and then transfer the money to Thiju's family in India.
