I had the pleasure of meeting and becoming friends with Kristy Grillo at Insight 1 in March. Insight is a personal development seminar that I became part of in 2016 that has changed my life and I am very passionate about. Two weeks ago, Kristy and I spent 5 days together in Insight 2, where I watched her begin to heal and transform. We bonded and walked through our discomfort to have amazing breakthroughs. This creates a forever bond. A bond like family. Kristy is a single mother and full-time student, and one of the strongest, most beautiful humans that I am blessed enough to have in my life. Yesterday the first floor of Kristy's apartment building was lost in a fire. Kristy and her 14-year-old son LJ live on the 3rd floor. Thank God they were home and awake and were able to get out of the house. She learned late last night and this morning that most likely 75% of their belongings have smoke damage and cannot be salvaged. Clothing, bedding, furniture, kitchen stuff, personal items, electronics, sentimental items, family heirlooms, all of it... damaged or lost. They are not sure yet if the beam that was burnt on the first floor is too far gone or if they'll be able to salvage it and rebuild it. Even if they can, there is no way of knowing how long this may take. They are displaced and will need all of the help and love that they can get. Kristy is the type of person who drops everything to help friends, one who cares deeply about people and cares about bettering herself so that she can make a difference in this world. She is a strong and incredibly kind woman who is giving everything she has to improve herself and give her amazing son a good life. I am asking you from the bottom of my heart to do whatever you can to help them to get back on their feet during this difficult time. Any bit of help is greatly appreciated.
