Hello all, my name is Nichole. I am making this resource for my cousin Kayjay Fernandus who just suffered a terrible injury where her hand was severely crushed and damaged while she was at work. While at work a Home Depot Uhaul hydraulic trailer malfunctioned while she was dumping 10,000 pounds of dirt, it came down on her right hand and she had to get driven to Harbor View where her ring finger was amputated and crushed all bones in her fingers. She may need additional surgery in 2 weeks depending on if her bones in her hand shift or not. She will be out of work for 6 to 9 months and have a long road to recovery with physical therapy as well. Any support can help her recover comfortably and knowing Kayjay she works so hard physically and this injury will put a hard set back at this time in her life, she did not deserve this.
