My name is Benny and I am 17 years old. My 55-year-old mother is the strongest woman I know. She has always wanted the best for me and has tried to do that for me her entire life, even if it didn't end up the way we wanted. She is hardworking and has an incredible work ethic. However, despite her amazing qualities she has not been able to get ahead enough to find herself a place to live. After troubles with a roommate, he abruptly made her move out a few months ago. She has been living in her car ever since, but this was not even the start of her struggles. Things were going alright until the company she delivered for Amazon with went out of business. Another company was to be started in its place, but Amazon fired that business for forgetting to check a single box on its application. Unable to find another job that matched her income, she started to Door Dash on the side to make up for it. However, doing this so often lead to other issues, like vehicular repairs and the cost of gas (which we all know has gone through the roof). She is a United States Air Force veteran. She also has a herniated disc that she cannot afford medical help for. She was forced to take an unpaid medical leave in an attempt to heal and give her body a break but she was terminated taking for the time she needed to get better. She now has another job, which pays even less, especially after being garnished to pay child support (for me, the singular 17-year-old). She is employed and is in search of a second job. They're now threatening to repossess her car, aka her house. She needs $850 by Sunday, August 6 to keep the car she is living in. PLEASE DONATE to my mother, even if it is only a dollar or two. It's more than what I can do for her, and I'm sure you can imagine the pain my heart goes through every single day when I get to go lay down in my bed and she has to sleep in her backseat. If she knew I was making this, she'd be pissed at me, but I am doing it anyway because I love her dearly and it kills me that there's nothing I can do - so I'm doing this. I can't bear worrying about my poor mom all the time. I'm only 17 and as a senior in high school, I'm sure you can assume I have a lot else going on!! I ask you all please, PLEASE spare a couple of dollars so my mom does not have to sleep in the streets. Whatever you can donate is more than what I can. Please help the woman who raised me, has always been there for me, and has served our country. Please help me return the same love and effort she has always given me. Every dollar counts.
