Hello, thanks for taking the time to hear our situation. We've been renting this house for a few years now. The landlord put the house up for sale and the new owner closed on the house just before May. When he came to collect May's rent money, he informed us they are terminating the lease and they would give us until until the end of June to be out. Granted it's me, my fiance, and my 6 step children and a couple of little dogs, it's hard to find a place to fit us comfortably. Well we came across a Craigslist ad a house for rent 3 bedroom 2 bath with a huge yard for $1000 a month. It happened to be my grandmother's old house when I was a kid growing up so I knew the property. We were desperate to get into a place and we thought we could make it work and the lady talked a good game, sent a picture of her license, and a PDF File lease to sign, said security deposit, 1st months rent, and $500 pet deposit. And we would have to cash app it to her daughter. She said she was sending the keys and sent us the tracking # and it showed the package was in transit. We sent $1000 the first day that's all it would let us send then the next morning it showed the package was on hold, she said because we didn't send the whole $2500. So we sent the other $1500 it went right through. We expected the package to show it was back in transit, but it never updated. When we asked her about it and told her it felt like a scam she assured us everything was fine and she's working on getting the utilities one for us at that very moment. The next thing we knew is the phone number was no longer in service. We are SICK to our stomachs over this so sad mad and depressed! Were back at square one having to find another place to go BUT ALSO out $2500. It was all of the money we were able to save to move with. Now the bills are due at this house again and after I told the new owner of this house he said nothing personal but they are filing an eviction to get us out. Not for Non payment of rent, but because they want their property so they can turn it into student housing they said. "We need to move forward at this time" This whole situation is a nightmare. I didn't even want to make a LFEBridge, but honestly I feel like we're running out of options. We appreciate any help even if it's $1. Thank you truly from the bottoms of our hearts.
