My friend, and founder of Painted Rock Animal Farm Sanctuary, lost everything in a devastating fire on October 22, 2015 which burned their farmhome to the ground.  Everything they owned was lost, including approximately 12-24 rescue cats waiting to find their new forever homes.Painted Rock Animal Farm & Sanctuary is dedicated to caring for abused, abandoned and orphaned animals. They have opened their home and lives to all kinds of animals - horses, donkeys, goats, sheep, pigs, ducks and the list goes on.They ensure each animal receives the proper care and treatment they require. Each animal that arrives at their animal rescue farm is treated on an individual basis, addressing their specific needs - each case is different. Once we get their immediate needs dealt with the biggest challenge and the one we most commonly face is rebuilding their "trust in man".  It is often a very long road we travel with our animal guests but we travel it together. There is no greater feeling then when you take an animal you could not touch or get near, an animal that is empty inside and you help rebuild their trust in humans. Then eventually they return the love and affection that you have given to them - sometime it takes months - sometime years! They have covered the cost for the animal care themselves, with some help from the sales of their "Annual Rescue Calendar" which were assembled with some of the pictures of the residents here on the farm. Please consider donating - any amount will help. The story was reported on a local news page on Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/NewTecumsethAndAreaNewsByNewtecradio?fref=ts&ref=br_tf - scroll down the page to see the story. Here is a link to the story from The Barrie Examiner:  http://www.thebarrieexaminer.com/2015/10/22/opp-say-25-cats-and-five-dogs-perish-in-blaze-at-tottenham-area-animal-sanctuaryHere is what the house looked like prior to the fire:
