On the 4th of July, tragedy struck the Bitseff family when their house caught fire. Thankfully, Megan, Zach, Caiden (15), and Lucas (6) made it out safely, along with most of their animals. However, their beloved home, which holds so many cherished memories for Zach, has been severely damaged. To make matters worse, their insurance coverage falls far short of what they have truly lost, and it could take up to 18 months before they can live in their home again. The road to recovery seems long and daunting for this resilient family. But that's not all. After the fire, they suddenly and tragically lost three of their cherished dragons. And now, they have discovered that the remaining 13 dragons' enclosures emit concerning odors and toxins due to prolonged heat, fire, and smoke exposure. These enclosures need to be replaced to ensure the safety and well-being of these incredible creatures. Thankfully, Darian and the amazing team at dubia.com have offered to replace the enclosures for the family at cost. This is an incredible gesture, but they still need our help to cover the cost. We are aiming to raise $3000 to provide new homes for these wonderful dragons and alleviate some of the burdens this family has faced.
