I am reaching out to share my mom's courageous journey and to seek your support during these challenging times. My mom is not only a fighter but a cancer survivor who has faced numerous health battles with unwavering strength. However, life recently threw a curveball her way, and we are now seeking your helping hand to secure a safe home for my mom. My mom is a single mother who raised me and my brother all by herself. She has worked tirelessly my whole life and sacrificed so much to put me and my brother through school. She works long hours on her feet and on odd hours of the day. For several years, my mom lived in a small studio apartment that was plagued by a persistent mold problem. Despite her constant pleas to the landlord to take action, the mold issue was brushed aside, putting her health at risk. As an immunocompromised individual with various adverse health problems, the mold-infested apartment posed a serious threat to her well-being. Left with no other option, my mom had to make the difficult decision to leave her beloved home to protect her health and safety. Since July 20th, we have been moving from one place to another, staying with family and friends. It has been a tough and emotionally draining experience, especially for someone who has already been through so much in life. However, my mom has recently been approved for a new apartment that promises to be a healthy and secure environment for her to rebuild her life. We couldn't be more grateful for this opportunity, but we face a significant obstacle—the upfront cost of securing the apartment. We are humbly requesting your help to raise funds for the security deposit and first month's rent. Your generous contributions will make an immense difference in my mom's life and will help her transition into a stable and mold-free living space. This would mean the world to her and bring her peace of mind, knowing that she can finally start anew with a fresh start. With your support, my mom can focus on her recovery, both physically and emotionally. As both my brother and I are still in school, we can only do so much to help support our mom financially. My brother is currently in medical school and I am leaving to complete my last year of graduate school at the end of August. We both hope that we can continue supporting our mom during and after we graduate.
