Hi, My name is Carolyn and I am fundraising for the McCanns. Lifelong lovers of Sacandaga Lake escaped a house fire on South Shore Road. On Sunday, July 23 at 3 am, two family members were awakened by crackling and popping sounds. The front of the house was on fire. They yelled, " Fire get out!" One family member climbed out a window and cut her leg while exiting. Another member had his 5 and 2-year-old in his arms running through smoke and he sliced his right toe requiring stitches. Two family members reentered to save their dog " Gunner." The dog was cowering in the corner of the bathroom. Luckily all 13 family members (9 adults, 4 children and 2 dogs) escaped from the burning house. Three out of five vehicles were lost due to the intense heat damage. Although our family lost many personal items that can be replaced, God blessed us with the greatest gift of all-human life!! Many thanks to the local Firefighters! Please let's show our love to the McCann family. Please Donate what you can. The family has enjoyed the Great Sacandaga for 55 years! Thank you
