Hi, my name is Herve Bugabo, I’m happily married to my wife Delia Ibarra. We live in Rio Rico, a small city located in the south of Arizona. We have two children: Ones and Maya. Ones, my oldest child, is four, and Maya the youngest is two. The night of May 13th, 2024 was one of the worst day of my life. On that day, I was at work, driving a commercial truck in Texas when I received the most chilling call in my whole entire life. To my big surprise, the call was from one of the 911 emergency team members, and he told me he was taking Maya to the emergency at Banner University Hospital in an helicopter. He continued by telling me that Maya had been a victim of a third-degree burn injury and had to be immediately be evacuated from the birthday party where she had accidentaly caught fire on her dress. From that moment, I knew that I had to be there with my family, and I decided to leave the truck I was assigned to in Texas and head back to Arizona. That decision was hard for me since my family mainly depended on my income. With the little savings, my wife and I were able to survive the first couple months; however, things got tough, and I started to struggle keeping up with my home rental fees as well as paying my other bills. Today, we are in July 2024, I decided to share my story to make anyone who will read it aware of our current situation: Since the day that terrible accident occurred, my wife and I hadn’t been able to work and do anything else other than taking care of our daughter, Maya. This horrible experience was a trauma for my family. For now, all we really need is to survive this aftermath period. We are facing a serious financial burden and would appreciate any help for my family to get back on track. Please keep us in your prayers. Thank you.
