As Director of HANDS, I want to do all I can to raise money to support the vital work that HANDS does in Northern Thailand. I know what a difference even a little bit can make to people who are struggling in life. HANDS works in different contexts to help those whose lives and communities are deeply affected by poverty, exploitation, conflict and disaster. We want to see people’s lives changed, regardless of their cultural, ethnic or religious background. Our hope is to partner with them in order to find and create pathways out of their difficulties and struggles. And most importantly, to bring hope and encouragement to those who need it most. I have managed to 'persuade' my sister-in-law, Alexa, to be my walking buddy again this year. Last year we walked 36.7 miles along the Pembrokeshire coastal path. We are going to pick up the coast path again and walk a further 40.1 miles. We hope to be joined by others walking locally on the 16th September and some of the HANDS Thai team will also be walking between villages Thailand, weather permitting! The money raised will go towards our community projects. The projects range in activities from providing wheelchairs, transport to hospital, renovating or even building new houses. We try to respond to situations and work with individuals and communities where there is the greatest of need. We would really appreciate your support! Please join us in making a difference!
