On Saturday July 1st my dad, Mac, suffered a stroke at home. It has required emergency services and he has been in the ICU since, with various tests being done to determine the cause and what will be the best course of action to treat moving forward. The last few days have been very touch-and-go as he has suffered from smaller strokes and a blood clot in his heart was located. He has been on a ventilator and sedated for the time being. While my dad is expected to recover, we do not know when or how - ultimately the road ahead is uncertain and 3 weeks minimum of in-patient rehabilitation will be likely once he is able to leave the hospital, as he will need to regain his ability to walk again. My mom has been by his side every step of the way to support and love him through this very scary time. This LFEBridge is to help my parents with the medical bills and other bills that may add up while my dad is recovering. Both of my parents are such hard working people who would never, ever ask for monetary help, but I believe it will be a huge relief to them both as my dad will not be able to work and my mom will be left with a huge financial pressure during a time when she shouldn’t have to worry about how she will pay the bills.
