My brother and sister-in-law, David and Nichole, experienced a fire at their home this week. A unit in their apartment building caught on fire and the fire spread across the whole attic and roof of their building. Thankfully, they were home, able to very quickly grab a few sentimental items and get out safely. The roof collapsed on their apartment covering a lot of their home in debris. They are now in a place of making decisions and figuring out what is next. Most of their things have smoke damage or are ruined from roof debris. Some things will not be recoverable at all. As you can imagine this creates a burden of replacing necessities for their home such as clothes, kitchen items, furniture, electronics, bedding etc... David & Nichole mentioned there are a couple things they are thankful for during this time. One is they are grateful for family nearby to stay with as they make decisions about next steps for a home. They are also glad they had time to get out sentimental items that mean a lot to them. We hope this can be a place where friends and family and other caring individuals come together to support them during this unexpected incident. If you have other ways you would like to encourage them you can contact them personally or contact me on LFEBridge to get their contact information. Any small gift from you is greatly appreciated and goes to help them in replacing their damaged items. Thank you for being willing to support them in this time.
