This page was organized by the family of Eric Hastie. On July 29th, 2024 around 1:30 pm, Eric’s home on Ralph Avenue in Transcona was destroyed by an accidental house fire. We are reaching out to raise funds for Eric to start to rebuild what he has lost in this tragic event. Anything helps no matter how big or small. A simple share on social media to spread awareness would be greatly appreciated as well. As a family, we wanted to share a little about the history of the home that was overtaken by fire last weekend. The family home was built in 1937. Grandma Dalli purchased the home in 1973. Over the years this house has been a home to many of the children and grandchildren. It has been in the family for over 50 years, with a previous house fire in 1990 which almost took the life of her Grandson. We are hoping for not only monetary donations, but services, supplies, or anything that you can give as Eric has lost everything in this devastating situation. We would like to send an extended thank you to the Winnipeg Fire Department for their prompt response time. They were able to save the structure of the home. Please accept our many thank you’s for your generosity it is greatly appreciated in this time of need. Eric will have a long road ahead of him trying to rebuild and start over.
