So, I had to come home today to go back to work, I tried a week ago and that didn't work out and I had to drive right back the next day. He's still in critical care but moving in the right direction. Now I have to drive back and forth so any help with that would be appreciated. update: Linc has had to go back on the breathing tube and will have to have a trach put either today or Monday. They're hoping this will help get him moving as he will be getting more oxygen and hopefully be less lethargic. He hasn't been able to work with PT because he is still not able to move unassisted. Thank you again for ephedrine help and prayers. Today's update. Linc had to go back in for emergency surgery last night for internal bleeding. Im am now off work indefinitely. I am traveling back to Richmond tomorrow. Any help will be appreciated. Today's update: We didn't get to spend a lot of time with him today. Here had a couple of issues early this morning where his heart rate and blood pressure spiked and then sunk. They tried to wean him off the vent but he didn't react well. They did do a full scan and they're are no clots which is good because his dialysis line clotted up and they had to put in a new one. He is a lot more responsive to commands and when the surgeon asked him a question he nodded in response. Tomorrow is going to be a long day. He has still not moved his bowel so they are going in first thing to make sure his bowels are obstructed. Then at 8am they are going to do a heart biopsy. This is normal and they will do multiple over the next few months to make sure his body isn't rejecting the heart. Then at some point they are going to do the trach.: Today was a quiet day, which I'll take. They took the balloon pump out, which means one less machine, and are weaning him off his blood pressure meds. He's still intubated but each day we're getting closer to the breathing tube being out. Thanks to everyone for your continued support. I have to go back to work which means I'm going to be driving back and forth a lot. Lincs mom is able to stay. EDIT: Linc is getting a heart tomorrow, please keep him in your prayers. Many of you now know that Linc Callis has been bumped to the tip of the transplant list. So, with my birthday coming up, in lieu of gifts, shots, etc I am trying to raise a little to help me and his mom with travel and food. We have both been blessed with a place to stay and I have some vacation time but with the cost of gas and food while we are down there any help would be appreciated. Thank you all in advance.
